The Presentation Summit 2012

Presentation-Summit-2012I have recently returned from this year’s Presentation Summit in Arizona where I was lucky enough to spend time with the ‘big thinkers’ from Microsoft and Prezi. The Presentation Summit was started back in 2003 by presentation ‘guru’, Rick Altman. Now in its tenth year, the Summit has become a Mecca for the entire presentation industry.

This annual event gathers the leading presentation software companies, design agencies and communication experts to review the latest and greatest advancements in presentation technology. It is also a great place to meet other presentation enthusiasts and share new ideas, over a glass or two of wine!

The presentation industry has grown in leaps and bounds over the past ten years and here at Presentation Studio we are proud to be a part of such an exciting industry. In part this is due to the new kids on the block ,Prezi, who are shaking up the way we think about structuring and presenting presentations.

I was very excited to spend time with the wonderful Prezi CEO Peter Arvai and his great product planner and team. I was lucky enough to present some of our wonderful Prezi work to the team in San Francisco – where I learnt of many big things coming from Prezi which we will be featuring very soon!

Naturally it wouldn’t be a Presentation Summit without lots of presentations, and I went to as many as I could. Each presentation that I saw was insightful, thought provoking and left me feeling inspired and reinvigorated.

I finished up my US trip by visiting my good friend Nancy Duarte up in Silicon Valley where I presented to the team. Thanks Nancy for being such a great hostess!

More insights from my trip to come soon…
